You may be thinking: “Isn’t there only one way to install siding properly?” While we agree that there is a right and a wrong way to install siding, S&S Remodeling has developed a time-tested method for ensuring we take all steps necessary to ensure your home looks brand new after we’re done.

Step 1: Obtain building permit
Step 2: Remove all existing siding, fascia, soffit, gutter, and underlayment; haul away debris
Step 3: Remove and replace any damaged plywood as necessary
Step 4: If necessary, pack out house walls with 1×3″ furring strips to level siding or attach to brick/stucco
Step 5: Install Tyvek Home Wrap to entire area of home.
Step 6: Using custom bent on site aluminum, cap all rake, fascia, and barge boards
Step 7: Flash all house walls, transitions, and roof lines with custom bent on-site aluminum
Step 8: Install all new Siding per MRIT; Manufacturers Recommended Technique
Step 9: Install all new 5K seamless futter with Leaf Relief Gutter Guard
Step 10: Install all new 2×3 spouting with elbows and extension
Step 11: Install OC ProEdge Matching hip and ridge shingles
Step 12: Install light fixture mounts, dryer vents, and all other siding accessories
Step 13: Remove and Reset any cable/telephone lines
Step 14: Install new gable vents
Step 15: Seal all into place
